September 10, 2001 - Centillium Communications, Inc. [NASDAQ: CTLM],
innovator of broadband communications technology, today announces that
Johnson Tsai has joined the company as sales director for greater China.
Prior to joining Centillium Mr. Tsai spent 14 years as a sales director
in China for Texas Instruments.
Mr. Tsai, who will
oversee the broadband communications markets in China, brings a wealth
of experience to Centillium. His leadership, customer focus and technology
awareness are valuable assets for our customers and partners in this
region.

Johnson Tsai has over 14 years of experience supporting networking technology
for Asian markets. Prior to joining Centillium, Mr. Tsai was a sales
director for Texas Instruments, responsible for the business of DSP
equipment solutions and broadband communications such as xDSL, Cable
Modem, VoIP, DSP, MP3, DSC, Netcam, and home wireless technologies.
Johnson holds an MSEE from Taiwan National Ocean University.
