NAMES JON SHERBURNE AS VICE PRESIDENT OF WORLDWIDE SALES
Former Maker and VLSI
Executive Brings 20 Years Experience in Domestic and International Sales
FREMONT, Calif., September 21, 1999 - Centillium Communications
Corporation today announced that Jon Sherburne has joined the company
as Vice President of Worldwide Sales effective September 13, 1999. Prior
to joining Centillium, Sherburne was Vice President of Worldwide Sales
at Maker Communications, Inc.
Sherburne will oversee Centillium's worldwide sales efforts, including
marketplace development, strategic account growth, and distribution
management. He will develop strategies for identifying, penetrating,
and managing OEM and direct accounts. He will also grow Centillium's
sales organization, expanding sales offices (in Europe, U.S., and Southeast
Asia) and hiring and training key sales personnel. Sherburne will report
directly to Centillium President and CEO A. Travis White.

Sherburne Brings Experience
in Domestic and International Sales/Marketing
Jon Sherburne
joins Centillium after spending the last two years with Maker Communications,
a manufacturer of semiconductor ICs for communications equipment. At
Maker, Sherburne won over 30 designs with major telecom/datacom companies,
including 3Com, Alcatel, Ascend, Cisco, Lucent, Nortel, and Siemens.
Prior to Maker, Sherburne spent nine years with VLSI Technology in various
positions, including Director of Apple Worldwide Sales, Vice President
of North American Computer and Government Sales and Technology Centers,
and Vice President of Western U.S. Sales and Technology Centers. Prior
to VLSI, Sherburne held various management and engineering positions
at Advanced Micro Devices and Texas Instruments.
