POSITION SUMMARY:
Join a dynamic tools engineering team delivering DSP software tools used in all aspects of DSP development. In this position, you will design and implement assembler/linker, simulator, debugger and automated testing tools for internal development use, and diagnostic tools for external use by customers. You will work closely with IC design team, DSP Engineering team and Applications Engineering team to derive requirements for the tools and to ensure functionality and quality of the tools, and interoperability of the tools with other parts of the hardware like FPGA and the digital chip.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong background in Windows NT applications with C, C++ and GUI MFC using Visual C++, adopting object-oriented methodology.
- Excellent in structured software development methodology, software design, implementation and tool skills.
- Experience with GNU or GNU-based assembler/linker, and Perl scripting desirable.
- Experience with working with communication between PC and FPGA via Enhanced Parallel Port desirable.
- Knowledge of basics of hardware architecture desired.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in EE/CS
- Minimum of 5 years industry experience.
