POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Accountant's
overall responsibility will be to manage transaction processing and to
assist with month-end account reconciliation, analysis and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise preparation
of A/P vouchers, checks, and vendor account reconciliations.
- Supervise the
credit investigations, collection of delinquent accounts, deduction
validation, and manage accounts receivable to maximize cash flow while
minimizing risk and debt.
- Manage the fixed
asset ledger and capital spending budget vs. actual.
- Maintain general
ledger.
- Moderately complex
G/L account reconciliation and analysis.
- Consolidate foreign
subsidiaries.
- Prepare financial
statements.
- Assist with SEC
reporting.
- Recommend, formulate,
and implement policies and procedures and process improvements.
- Coordinate with
external auditors.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4-7 years combined
public and private industry experience, including SEC reporting.
- Computerized accounting
systems experience (Platinum preferred).
- Strong financial
and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with
internal controls.
- Excellent oral
and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability
in multi-tasking and to interact with various management levels.
- Proficient in
the use of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and accounting software
like Platinum/ERA.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors / Masters
degree in accounting.
- CPA Preferred.
