POSITION SUMMARY:
As a part of the
Systems Turnkey Design Group, the candidate will design and develop broadband
access products for Central Office and Customer Premises applications.
He/she will be working under minimal supervision of the Department Manager
to mentor Senior and Junior engineering teams and conduct the technical
management of telecommunications systems and board R&D, per Centillium's
quality initiatives and ISO9000 methodologies. He/she will be involved
in developing and implementing technologies to help maintain and propel
Centillium's leading role in xDSL, Voice, IP and ATM areas.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Track record
in technical coordination of cross-functional teams and multi-task project
management
- Strong experience
in communications systems architecture, design, testing and high speed
board layout
- Track record of
on-time and successful delivery of a minimum of three Telecom products
from concept to production release
- Systems, software
and hardware integration experience
- Strong experience
in high speed logic design, SDRAM and Motorola processor technologies
- Strong experience
in FPGA/CPLD design using Verilog
- Strong background
in xDSL, Voice over DSL, VoIP and VoATM technologies
- Strong-intimate
knowledge in of IP, ATM, Frame Relay, T1/E1, and DS3
- Outstanding communication
skills

of Home Networking Technologies
- Working knowledge
of Voice Telephony and Applications
- Working knowledge
PSPICE, MathLab or MathCad
- Working knowledge
of Digital Signal Processing
- Knowledge on 10/100MB
& 1000MB Ethernet, Layer 2, Layer 3 switching and routing, ATM SVCs
- Familiarity with
LAN/WAN Protocols
- Familiarity with
USB, PCI standards
- Working knowledge
and experience on domestic and international telecommunications, EMC,
EMI and safety standards
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- BSEE with 10+
years or MSEE with 7+ years of related experience. MBA is a plus.
