Folder templates are used to create multiple folders in one operation. Folder Templates are created by the System Administrator, and are subject to security just like everything else in infoRouter.
|
The most common use for Folder Templates is to create a new set of folders and documents in one operation. For example, your company may require that all new projects use a standard set of folders. Perhaps you have one folder for the schedule, one for contracts, one for resources, one for supporting documents, one for code/specs/drawings/images, etc. Using Folder Templates, you only have to create this hierarchy once. From then on, you can set up a whole new set of folders for a new project with just a few clicks! |
When a folder template is chosen during the "New Folder" operation, the new folder is created as an exact replica of the template. If the template folders contain any documents, these documents are copied as well. |
